  2. Create an Account by selecting “Citizen. For Kenyan citizens. Residents and visitors have their respective options.
  3. Fill in Your Details, such as national ID number, email address, and phone number 
  4. Choose a secure password for your account.
  5. After registration, you’ll receive an activation link via email. Click on it to activate your eCitizen account.

Renewing your driving license in Kenya through the eCitizen portal is straightforward.

  2. Once logged in, look for the NTSA services section and Select It.
  3. You will be presented with various driving-related services. Look for the “Driving License Renewal” option and click on it.

  5. Select the Renewal period for which you want to renew your license. Options presented are one-year or three-year.

  • Pay a convenience fee of Ksh—250 for the search.
  • Wait 5 minutes to receive your DL details via SMS and email.

If you prefer to check via SMS, all you need to do is Send an SMS with your National ID Number to 22846. For example, if your ID number was 123456789. You would send DL 123456789 to 22846
